New Recommendations for Injection Moulding Machines

New Recommendations for Injection Moulding Machines

28 May 2009

In the past, the necessary connection of external safety devices, e.g. for safeguarding, doors in fences, surrounding production cells including injection moulding machines and e.g. robots, caused frequently problems and unnecessary discussions.

With the new recommendation

EUROMAP 73
"Electrical Interface between Injection Moulding Machines and External Safety Devices"

finally a new common interface is defined to delete these problems. Moreover, the interface covers additional emergency stops inside the fences.
For the interface, a type of plug is used which is supplied by e.g. HARTING, PHOENIX, ILME and TYCO.

A further new recommendation in this month is

EUROMAP 74
"Electrical Interface between Injection Moulding Machines and electrically driven cores"

This interface as well uses a plug supplied by the above mentioned companies.
