EUROMAP Study North America assigned

In January 2009 EUROMAP has awarded the contract for a market study on the plastics industry in North America to The REPTON Group in the United States. The assignment was preceded by a request for proposal with several market research specialists.Geographic focus of the study is USA including the country's interdependencies with neighboring Canada and Mexico, giving a general country analysis for the region.
Contents of the study will map major recent developments, an industry as well as a competitive analysis on the plastics raw material manufacturing sub-sector as well as on the plastics machinery industry, drawing conclusions from the findings. Focus of the study is the plastics processing and converting industry together with its customer branches like packaging, construction and building, automotive, consumer goods and household appliances, telecommunication and consumer electronics and medical.
In addition, the study will picture risks and chances arising from social, economic and industry developments checking possible regulatory and legal influences.
A summary is to present market size and growth, threats and opportunities deriving strategic recommendations to fend-off competition from non-European countries.
Works on the study are to be completed by June 2009 and the contents presented on the occasion of NPE 2009 in Chicago.
