Energy Efficiency

One of the key issues of our industry is energy efficiency. EUROMAP's Technical Commission, therefore, will set standards for an objective comparison of the machine related energy consumption. Such EUROMAP recommendations will be necessary for each machine family.Meanwhile, EUROMAP invited the industry to actively participate in a working group and received a positive echo.
A working group for injection moulding machines has fixed its second meeting in June already, a working group for extruders will start in July. A further working group for thermoforming machines will follow in autumn this year. Other working groups will be established later, depending on the interest of the corresponding industry.
The standardised measurement of a specific machine related energy consumption may be a first step towards an ECO Label related to energy efficiency classes.
